Job summary

Knife River Corporation is seeking a skilled construction professional to oversee asphalt paving crews in Kalispell, MT. Responsibilities include coordinating daily activities, ensuring safety, and using HCSS Heavy Job to track quantities and timecards.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years construction experience with emphasis on asphalt paving.
• Valid driver's license; CDL preferred.
• Basic math skills.
• Ability to bend, stoop, lift, push, pull and be on your feet for long periods.
• Must pass pre-employment drug screen and background check.
• Ability to work flexible shifts including days, nights, some weekends; some travel.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate all daily crew activities to maximize productivity and quality.
• Perform work safely and take action to prevent any and all unsafe actions or behaviors.
• Utilization of HCSS Heavy Job to track daily quantities, use of production reports and daily timecards.
• Monitor layout, placement, compaction of asphalt materials and assure quality of working in all aspects of lay down operations.
• Verify measurements, slope and thickness for compliance of specifications.
• Other miscellaneous duties as directed by supervisor
