Job summary

Knife River Montana is seeking an asphalt paving worker to operate paving equipment and lay asphalt on parking lots, streets, and highways. You will follow safety protocols and company policies while maintaining productive, high-quality work.

The role requires operating pavers and related equipment, communicating clearly, and passing drug tests and physicals after an offer. A valid driver's license is preferred; team benefits include a 401(k) and comprehensive coverage.

Qualifications

• Must communicate effectively in verbal and written form.
• Valid driver’s license or CDL preferred; maintain good driving record.
• Pass post‑offer drug test and physical.
• Minimum 3 years of experience with the defined equipment.
• Ability to operate different types of equipment.

Responsibilities

• Safely and productively perform asphalt paving operations including operation of pavers, screeds, raking, shoveling and compacting asphalt on parking lots, streets, and highways.
• Follow all company policies and maintain safe work practices.
• Establish and maintain positive working relationships with all personnel and perform duties safely and productively to ensure quality work.
• Conduct daily equipment inspections to identify safety and maintenance issues.
