Job summary

Brigham Young University in Provo, Utah seeks an experienced Architect to provide comprehensive planning, architectural design, and project management for remodeling, renovation, and new construction across the BYU campus.

The role will lead project teams, ensure code compliance, coordinate with consultants, manage budgets and schedules, and serve as the university's architectural representative from programming through closeout.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in architecture or equivalent.
• Ten years of progressive architectural experience.
• Five years using Revit, AutoCAD and Bluebeam Revu.
• Current Utah Architect license.
• Firm commitment to BYU mission.

Responsibilities

• Serve as primary project manager and architectural lead for in-house construction projects.
• Lead Design Project Manager and Architect of Record on contract projects.
• Represent the university's architectural interests with external designers.
• Review and seal projects requiring architectural seal.
• Provide professional oversight and ensure quality, budget, and schedule compliance.
