Job summary

Brigham Young University is seeking an Architect to provide comprehensive planning, architectural design, and project management across the campus. You will lead in-house projects and act as Architect of Record on select contracts, ensuring compliance with university standards, budgets, and schedules.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in architecture from an accredited program, or equivalent education and experience.
• Ten (10) years of progressively responsible experience in an architectural office or institutional facilities planning environment.
• Five (5) years of professional experience using Autodesk Revit, Autodesk AutoCAD, and Bluebeam Revu.
• Current Utah Architect license.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary project manager and architectural lead for assigned in-house construction projects.
• Lead Design Project Manager and/or Architect of Record on select contract projects.
• Serve as the University’s architectural representative for assigned projects designed by outside consultants.
• Architectural Review & Sealing – by assignment, review and seal projects requiring an architectural seal.
• Maintain knowledge and involvement to provide professional oversight and direction.
• Demonstrate professionalism, integrity, and commitment to BYU’s mission and values.
