Job summary

Brigham Young University seeks an experienced Architect to lead in‑house construction projects, from programming to construction completion, ensuring campus standards and quality. You will manage budgets, schedules, and consultants while serving as the university representative on various contracts.

The role requires a bachelor’s degree in architecture, 10 years of experience in an architectural setting, and 5 years using Revit, AutoCAD, and Bluebeam Revu.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in architecture from an accredited program or equivalent education and experience.
• Ten years of progressively responsible experience in an architectural office or institutional facilities planning.
• Five years of professional experience using Autodesk Revit, Autodesk AutoCAD, and Bluebeam Revu.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary project manager and architectural lead for assigned in‑house construction projects.
• Lead Design Project Manager and/or Architect of Record on select contract projects.
• Serve as the University's architectural representative for assigned projects designed by outside consultants.
• Architectural Review & Sealing – review and seal projects requiring an architectural seal as assigned.
• Maintain knowledge and provide professional oversight and direction on projects.
