Job summary

CVS Health is seeking a Principal Architect, Solution Engineering and Automation to design end-to-end architecture for complex PBM initiatives. You will lead technology incubation, collaborating with business and IT leaders to create innovative, automated solutions that improve patient outcomes and drive value.

Qualifications

• 10+ years in overall design/development experience.
• 7+ years hands-on experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP) and solid experience in Azure; familiarity with AWS.
• Expert in Software Architecture/Design patterns including Domain Driven Architecture and Microservices.
• Proficiency in Security, Automation and Observability along with IT operations knowledge.
• Experience with enterprise SDLC methodologies and Observability platforms.
• Experience with integration layers between modern apps and legacy infrastructure; familiarity with streaming platforms like Kafka/Pulsar.
• Proven success influencing major technology decisions and collaborating with leadership and engineering teams.
• Experience automating complex processes and building intelligent automation frameworks; RPA with UiPath and Automation Anywhere.
• Strong presentation and demonstration skills; ability to communicate to diverse audiences.
• Experience mentoring technical teams and driving adoption of new technologies.

Responsibilities

• Provide technology leadership, solution oversight, and design reviews.
• Lead Buy vs Build analyses to recommend optimal solutions.
• Drive modernization opportunities for PBM technology across the IT landscape.
• Develop reference architectures for cloud-native PBM apps and guide teams.
• Assist app development teams with performance and roadmap challenges.
• Develop technology roadmaps anticipating industry trends and benefits.
• Monitor tech developments to identify healthcare opportunities and competitive advantages.
• Architect solutions leveraging AI/ML, Generative AI, CV, NLP and predictive analytics.
• Design and implement automation frameworks to improve efficiency and reduce manual work.
• Evaluate new tools, platforms, and methodologies to boost team productivity.
• Partner with business units and external partners to advance innovation.
• Mentor junior architects and engineers in emerging tech adoption.
• Collaborate with product management to align innovation with business value.
• Lead centers of excellence for emerging tech and knowledge sharing.
• Engage with academia and vendors to stay at technology frontier.
• Lead feasibility studies and PoCs to demonstrate business value.
