Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in recreation, physical education or related field is required.
• Four (4) years of experience in the development, organization and operation of a water park, aquatics program or public swimming pool facility.
• Two (2) years in a supervisory capacity; may be concurrent.
• Lifeguard Instructor Certification; First Aid/CPR for the Professional Rescuer; Water Safety Instructor Certification; Swim Coaches Certification; Food Managers Certification are preferred or required.

Responsibilities

• Plans, schedules and oversees the implementation of aquatic programs across multiple locations.
• Analyzes aquatic facility operations and implements changes to improve efficiency and productivity.
• Delegates tasks to subordinates and supervises staff, schedules, and policies.
• Plans and conducts certification courses (Lifeguarding, First Aid, CPR) and ongoing in-service training.
• Ensures compliance with state and local laws and maintains documentation.
• Identifies marketing opportunities and promotes division activities.
• Oversees revenue collection and maintains financial records and reports.
• Manages equipment, inventory, and purchasing for multiple locations.
• Provides excellent customer service and handles inquiries and complaints.
• Coordinates with vendors to stock facilities within budget.
