Job summary

The City of Atlanta is seeking an Aquatics Facility Supervisor to oversee day-to-day operations at municipal pools, supervise staff, and ensure safety and sanitation standards. You will manage class registrations, program scheduling, budget planning for supplies, and coordinate lifeguard and safety training while delivering high-quality aquatic programs to the community.

Qualifications

• Education and Experience - High School diploma or equivalent.
• Licensures and Certifications - CPR; First Aid; Lifeguard Training (LGT); Valid Georgia Driver's license.
• Preferred Requirements - Some college education or vocational training, plus five (5) years of related experience in aquatics and supervisory experience.
• Certifications - Certified Pool Spa Operator (CPO); Water Safety Instructor (WSI); USA Swimming Coach (USASC); Lifeguard Training Instructor (LGI).

Responsibilities

• Supervises staff and maintains associated facility paperwork.
• Supervises and coordinates the operation and maintenance of a municipal swimming pool.
• Enhances program participation and community involvement with the facility.
• Supervises lifeguards, safety instructors, and aquatic staff.
• Maintains pool safety and sanitation; instructs swimming and lifeguarding classes.
• Coordinates program operations and monitors budgets for equipment and supplies.

Education
