Job summary

Honeywell Aerospace is seeking a Lead Project Engineer for the Phoenix, AZ area on a Hybrid schedule. You will lead APU development projects, coordinate cross-functional teams, and ensure timely, within-budget delivery with strong change management and risk mitigation.

The role emphasizes technical guidance, project planning, and continuous improvement in a fast-paced aerospace environment, reporting to a Sr. Program Engineering Manager.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in aerospace or mechanical engineering.
• 8+ years of experience in project engineering or related roles.
• Proven track record of delivering engineering projects on time and within budget.
• Strong leadership and project management skills with expertise in risk management and problem-solving.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with attention to detail.
• Passion for innovation and continuous learning.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage APU development projects from initiation to completion.
• Define project scope, objectives, and deliverables in collaboration with stakeholders.
• Develop and implement project plans, including timelines, budgets, and resource allocation.
• Coordinate and communicate with cross-functional teams to ensure project success.
• Monitor project progress and ensure adherence to timelines, budgets, and quality standards.
• Ensure an airtight change management process.
• Identify and mitigate risks and issues that may impact project delivery.
• Provide technical guidance and support to project team members.
• Prepare and present project status reports to stakeholders both internal and external.
