Job summary

Honeywell Aerospace in Phoenix, AZ, is seeking an Advanced APU Project Engineer to coordinate cross-functional teams and drive delivery of complex engineering products on the 36 Series, RE220, and HGT400 APUs. This hybrid role requires initial onsite work for 90 days and ongoing collaboration to ensure program success.

You will report to the Sr. Program Engineering Manager and influence risk management, scheduling, and technical change processes across programs to enable on-time, within-budget

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Aerospace or Mechanical Engineering or related technical discipline.
• 3+ years of experience in project engineering or related roles.
• Prior experience and technical knowledge of gas turbine engines.
• Experience in leading cross-functional teams and managing complex engineering projects.
• Experience in risk management and problem-solving to mitigate project risks and issues effectively.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Attention to detail and ability to prioritize tasks effectively.

Responsibilities

• Work directly with airframers and operators to resolve in-service engineering issues.
• Work with functional experts to identify root cause and corrective actions for complex and ambiguous technical challenges.
• Develop and implement project plans, including timelines, budgets, and resource allocation to advance programs through the IRB process.
• Develop technical change proposals for OEM customers to resolve SRDs and other technical issues.
• Proactively manage and mitigate project risks to maintain project performance.
• Provide technical guidance and support to project newer team members.
• Prepare and present project status reports to stakeholders.
