Job summary

Unity Technologies is seeking an experienced engineer to own APIs and SDKs powering AI asset creation across design, delivery, and support. You will ensure secure, reliable backend services with observable metrics and resilience, while developing integrations with partners to enhance asset workflows.

The role requires leadership in architectural decisions and collaboration across Unity AI teams. The candidate should have strong C#/.NET and API design skills, with experience in cloud platforms

Qualifications

• Experience designing and evolving APIs and SDKs for multi-team use.
• Proven track record in API versioning and compatibility.
• Strong leadership across teams and stakeholders.
• Experience with cloud services and observability stacks.
• Familiarity with Unity or 3D engines is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Own APIs and SDKs powering AI asset creation across the design, delivery, and support lifecycle.
• Ensure backend services are secure, reliable, and observable, and handle failure and recovery scenarios using infrastructure as code.
• Develop and maintain integrations in collaboration with partners to improve asset workflows.
• Set patterns and practices for AI-assisted development with guardrails and feedback loops.
• Support CI, release, and incident management processes to drive continuous improvement in the system.
• Collaborate with product, design, and engineering to shape the roadmap for investments in features vs. health.
