Job summary

Qualifications

• Requires High school diploma or equivalent.
• Two years full-time hospital operating-room experience preferred.
• American Heart Association BLS provider required.

Responsibilities

• Directs ordering of anesthesia supplies and medications.
• Keeps anesthesia work room neat and orderly.
• Checks other areas (PACU, ICU, CCU) for monitoring devices for patient transfer and return to surgery unit.
• Assists in maintaining equipment in proper working order.
• Cleans all non-disposable anesthesia equipment.
• Returns cleaned equipment to its proper place.
• Responds to page for anesthesia turnover between cases.
• Identifies, tags and sends malfunctioning equipment to Materials Manager for repair or replacement.
• Shows initiative towards learning new and additional responsibilities.
• Practices safety standards in the performance of patient care and unit activities.
• Assists with regional anesthesia, epidural, & Bier Block.
• Assists all anesthesia personnel MD, Residents & CRNAs in gathering supplies for hemodynamic monitoring, A-line, CP, COs, etc.
