Job summary

UMC Health System is seeking an Anesthesia Technician to assist the anesthesia team by planning, securing, and arranging equipment and supplies in the operating room. The role includes supporting medical staff, transporting patients as needed, and maintaining the anesthesia lab and supplies.

Qualifications include a High School Diploma or GED and knowledge of basic pharmacology, sterile processing, ECG, and arterial monitoring.

Responsibilities

• Assist medical staff and prepare anesthesia equipment and supplies.
• Accompany patient during transport/transfer as needed.
• Stock, clean, and set up medications, supplies, and equipment used daily by anesthesia staff.
• Prepare suction equipment, IV solutions, and pressure bags before patient arrival.
• Maintain anesthesiology lab and necessary supplies.
• Assist medical staff and residents as requested.
• Perform other duties related to anesthesia as assigned.
