Job summary

UofL Health, Inc. is seeking an Anesthesia Technician Lead at University Hospital in Louisville. The role supports licensed anesthesia providers with equipment preparation, case turnover, and patient care prior to, during, and after anesthesia.

The Lead coordinates daily activities, supervises technical staff, and collaborates with the ORD, Charge RN and lead SPD Tech to ensure safe, efficient anesthesia care in a high-volume OR environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• BLS certification from American Heart Association is required.
• Minimum two years of full-time day shift hospital experience, operating room preferred.

Responsibilities

• Directs ordering of anesthesia supplies and medications.
• Maintains anesthesia work room in neat, organized condition.
• Assists in equipment setup, maintenance and cleaning between cases.
• Provides support for patient assessment, positioning, IV access and airway management as needed.
• Participates in continuing education and communicates equipment issues to vendors or Materials Manager.
