Job summary

Lab49 is seeking an Android Team Lead (Contractor) to design and deliver production-grade Android applications for client engagements in Richardson, TX. You will lead architecture, guide engineers, and still contribute code when needed to ensure delivery quality.

The role focuses on onboarding, account management, and money movement in large-scale consumer banking experiences, with a greenfield initiative to expand into new markets and meet evolving regulatory requirements.

Qualifications

• 10-12+ years of experience designing and building complex software systems.
• 4+ years leading Agile teams.
• Expert-level Android applications using Kotlin and Jetpack Compose.
• Experience in consumer banking including onboarding and account management.
• Familiarity with integrating RESTful APIs and third-party libraries.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, deliver, and test innovative Android applications.
• Communicate with leadership, product owners, technologists and users to align priorities.
• Break down complex problems into elegant technical solutions for Lab49's clients.
• Drive adoption of strong software architecture and development best practices.
