Amentum is seeking an experienced aircraft mechanic to support HQ USAF operational plans and provide safe air transportation for Cabinet Members, senior leaders, and visiting dignitaries. You will perform scheduled and unscheduled maintenance, repair and modify aircraft structures and components, interpret technical docs, and ensure compliance with safety and quality standards.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED, FAA A&P or equivalent military training, and the ability to work

Competenze

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Knowledge of aircraft hand tools, special tools and test equipment required.
• Ability to read, interpret, and understand schematics, drawings, charts and technical publications.

Mansioni

• Support HQ USAF operational plans and safe air transportation for Cabinet Members, senior military leaders, and visiting foreign dignitaries.
• Perform scheduled and unscheduled aircraft maintenance, repairs and modifications to aircraft structures and components of moderate difficulty.
• Apply technical knowledge of airframe and power plant systems to diagnose equipment malfunctions using blueprints or manuals.
• Conduct preflight, thru-flight, basic post-flight and phase inspections.
• Assist aircrew in flight preparation and launch/recovery of aircraft.
• Perform operational checks, maintain aircraft appearance and cleanliness.
• Operate ground support equipment and use hand tools, special tools, and fixtures.
• Record maintenance actions in aircraft records and MIS entries.
• Maintain safety, tool control, and Foreign Object Damage awareness.
• Be able to work day, swing, night shifts and weekends; travel as required.
• Must have a High School Diploma or GED; rotary-wing mechanics require FAA or military training.
• Must meet one or more: 1 year recent maintenance on H-60/S-70; FAA A&P or FCC; U.S. military aviation maintenance training with 1 year recent U.S. military aircraft experience.
