Job summary

Amentum is seeking an experienced aircraft maintenance technician to support HQ USAF operations, focusing on high-security flights for Cabinet members and senior leaders. You will perform scheduled/unscheduled maintenance on H-60/S-70 platforms, inspect and repair structural and mechanical systems, and coordinate with aircrew for safe departures and arrivals.

Requires an FAA A&P or military equivalent, at least one year of recent helicopter maintenance experience, and the ability to read

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• FAA A&P certification or FCC license, or military maintenance training with at least 1 year of relevant experience.
• At least 1 year of recent aircraft maintenance experience on H-60 or S-70.
• Ability to read and interpret schematics, drawings, and technical manuals.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain a secret security clearance.

Responsibilities

• Perform scheduled and unscheduled aircraft maintenance and repairs.
• Inspect aircraft preflight, through-flight, and post-flight checks.
• Assist aircrew in flight preparation and launch/recovery.
• Operate ground support equipment and manage MIS entries.
• Ensure safety and housekeeping at all times.
