Job summary

DAS Aviation is seeking a Lead Teardown & Evaluation Technician to lead teardown, inspection, and evaluation activities in Cedar Hill, TX. The role requires coordinating workflows and ensuring compliance with FAA regulations while mentoring a team of technicians on disassembly, documentation, and data accuracy.

Qualifications

• Four+ years in aviation maintenance or component teardown.
• Leadership experience in a production or repair setting.
• Ability to train and mentor technicians on disassembly and documentation.
• Scheduling experience in a manufacturing or repair environment; aerospace preferred.
• Strong knowledge of FAA rules and regulations.

Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate teardown, disassembly, receiving inspection, and evaluation activities.
• Coordinate workflow to meet schedules, engineering requirements, and profit goals.
• Perform receiving inspection duties, including verification of documentation and traceability.
• Train and mentor technicians on disassembly, tool usage, inspection methods, and documentation requirements.
• Read, interpret, and work from blueprints, maintenance manuals, IPCs, and other technical data.
• Develop and maintain Quotes to support consistent evaluation and efficient work order processing.
• Provide technical guidance for processes related to composite and metal bond parts.
• Maintain knowledge of Corridor, computer systems, and tracking databases.
