We are seeking a highly motivated Aircraft Procurement & Asset Manager to lead acquisition strategies, manage inventory, and build strong industry relationships that drive long-term growth.

What you can expect as an Teardown & Evaluation Supervisor at DAS Aviation:

This position is responsible for supervising, assisting, and ensuring that assigned personnel are following quality standards, repair standards, and safety involving the teardown and evaluation process.

You will be ESSENTIAL to many FUNCTIONS including:
  • Review component repair orders with the Director of Engineering and assure planned work scope created conforms to the requirements, special requirements, and requested delivery dates.
  • Repair operations are executed, establish priorities and sequencing for working components.
  • Ensure schedules are met and coordinate shop activities to ensure processes and quality of components meet specifications.
  • Coordinate with supporting departments to implement planned repair/procedure methods for all components.
  • Personnel evaluations.
  • Training and assisting employees with the proper work procedures and practices to be followed. Provide guidance to personnel on technical development, performance, and shop issues.
  • Daily O.J.T. training is performed and annual recurrent, formal and, if applicable, to the employee specialized training is performed on all safety-sensitive employees, and all training personnel are properly trained to administer training.
  • Maintains department safety and cleanliness.
  • Maintains on a daily basis that all work areas, shop equipment, and tools are in a serviceable working condition, assuring that periodic checks and calibrations are made on special tools and test equipment.
  • Necessary planning sheets and discrepancies for work orders used by the Repair Station are properly executed by the responsible inspectors/supervisors/mechanics.
  • Initiating requisitions for work orders/stock inventory as required.
  • The Quality manual and safety guidelines are followed to perform high-quality maintenance.
  • Assures that department personnel are utilizing the required technical data on all aircraft components and appliances for the maintenance accomplished and assure the data is current with the latest revision. The data will include, but is not limited to: Manufacturer’s Maintenance and Overhaul Manuals, Service bulletins, parts specifications, related FAA approved data, and any other technical data used by the Repair Station.
  • Proper handling of all parts while in the Repair process and continuing through shipping and receiving.
  • Maintaining the preservation of all components or parts during the work process, installation, and storage.
  • Overtime as required.
Experience:

5 Years component maintenance, including but not limited to structure assemblies, nacelle components (inlets, TR’s, etc.), metal bond assemblies, and composite assemblies (graphite prepregs, fiberglass prepregs, and Kevlar).

Education:

High school diploma, GED equivalent is required. FAA Mechanic Airframe/Repairman Certificated is preferred.

Physical Requirements:
  • Stand and walk for extended periods of time.
  • Lift 50+ lbs.
  • Use hand tools (provided by employee) and drill for extended periods of time.
