Job summary

Jamco America Inc. in Everett, WA seeks a Seats Design Engineer Lead to guide the Seat Design Engineers in the research, design and substantiation of mechanical seat designs for production, retrofit, and development.

The role leads a team (up to 6 SDEs), collaborates with manufacturing and OEMs, performs design checks, analyses, reviews engineering packages, and may involve travel to support projects.

Qualifications

• BS degree in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering.
• 15 years aerospace experience as equivalent.
• Ability to lead a design team (up to 6 SDEs).

Responsibilities

• Lead design tasks for commercial aircraft seat mechanical design and installations.
• Mentor and review documentation of design implementation.
• Interpret OEM seat install drawings and liaise with manufacturing.
• Perform engineering design checks and analyses and schedule tasks.
• Travel may be required.
