Job summary

Jamco America, Inc. seeks a Seat Design Engineer 3 to support lead engineers in research, design and substantiation of passenger seats, using established modeling and design standards.

The engineer will assist in creating engineering packages for production, retrofit applications and new product development. You will analyze OEM drawings, perform preliminary stress and kinematics analysis, and collaborate across departments.

Qualifications

• Travel may be required domestically or internationally.

Responsibilities

• Assigned design tasks include aircraft mechanical seating design and mechanical seat installations.
• Supports documentation of design implementation and engineering design checks.
• Performs engineering analyses (preliminary stress, kinematics, dynamic analyses) and validates models against tests.
