Job summary

West Star Aviation Inc. is seeking a Lead Aircraft Maintenance Technician in Statesville, NC. This role focuses on leading a team to deliver high-quality maintenance work on aircraft, managing project flow, and ensuring safe, compliant operations.

The position requires strong technical know-how and leadership with hands-on responsibilities. You will train and mentor technicians, supervise daily tasks, and collaborate with customers on project planning and pricing.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent and Airframe & Powerplant license required.
• Driver's license and/or passport ideal but not mandatory.
• Aircraft-specific factory training is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead the team to complete jobs and manage day-to-day tasks.
• Turnover of work to the next shift with strong handoff.
• Seek opportunities to reduce aircraft turn time within responsibility.
• Train/mentor technicians assigned to projects.
• Supervise team members in daily workload and output.
• Direct multiple projects; ensure scheduling and quality.
• Perform mechanical tasks on aircraft and related systems.
• Troubleshoot and evaluate systems on aircraft.
• Inspect and evaluate aircraft and components.
• Coordinate with customer in project management and pricing.
