West Star Aviation Inc. is seeking a Lead Aircraft Maintenance Technician for the 2nd shift in Perryville, MO. The role focuses on guiding a team of technicians to deliver high-quality, on-time maintenance while ensuring strict FAA compliance and safety standards.

Strong analytical, communication, and project-management skills are essential. The position requires a high school diploma or equivalent and an A&P license, with 8+ years in aviation maintenance and 4+ years on relevant airframes.

Qualifikationen

• High school diploma or equivalent and Airframe and Powerplant License are required.
• 8+ years in aviation maintenance preferred.
• 4+ years in program specific airframes.

Aufgaben

• Lead the team to complete the necessary jobs/tasks and use good judgement in day-to-day tasks.
• Implement a strong turnover of work to the next shift.
• Look for opportunities to reduce turn time of aircraft.
• Help to train/mentor technicians assigned to projects.
• Supervise team members in daily work load.
• Work independently on projects and lead multiple projects with strong scheduling and quality focus.
• Perform general mechanical functions on aircraft and related systems.
• Troubleshooting and evaluation of systems on the aircraft when designated.
• Inspection and evaluation of the aircraft and components when designated.
• Aircraft movement, performance runs and taxiing when required.
• Maintenance and repair of shop facilities, equipment and tooling.
• Work with customer in project management, pricing and customer support roles.
• Effectively and clearly communicate in English.
• Any other duties as assigned by supervisor or management.
