Job summary

West Star Aviation Inc. is seeking an Aircraft Maintenance Technician on the 2nd shift in East Alton, IL. You’ll perform mechanical tasks, troubleshoot systems, and support inspections on civilian aircraft in a busy MRO environment.

Ideal candidates hold Airframe or Powerplant licenses, with 0–2 years of aviation maintenance experience. A valid driver’s license or passport is beneficial, and benefits start with you on day one.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Airframe or Powerplant license is required; Airframe license preferred for advancement.
• 0-2 years of experience in aviation maintenance or similar field.

Responsibilities

• Perform general mechanical tasks on aircraft and related systems.
• Remove/install panels and components.
• Troubleshoot and resolve aircraft system issues.
• Operate ground support equipment and assist in taxiing and runs.
• Inspect and evaluate aircraft and components.
• Maintain shop facilities and tooling.
