Job summary

West Star Aviation Inc. is seeking a Bombardier Lead Aircraft Maintenance Technician (2nd Shift, 1730) in East Alton, IL. This full-time, on-site role demands strong leadership, hands-on aviation maintenance, and effective project management with FAA compliance.

You will supervise technicians, ensure timely completion of tasks, train team members, and uphold safety and quality standards in a hangar environment. Strong communication and problem-solving skills are essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent and A&P license are required.
• A valid driver’s license is ideal but not mandatory.
• Aircraft-specific factory training is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead the team to complete jobs and manage day-to-day tasks.
• Ensure smooth turnover of work to the next shift.
• Identify opportunities to reduce aircraft turn time.
• Train and mentor technicians assigned to projects.
• Supervise team members and manage daily workload.
• Direct multiple projects and maintain schedule and quality.
