Job summary

West Star Aviation Inc. is seeking an Aircraft Maintenance Technician for the 2nd shift in East Alton, IL. You will perform general mechanical tasks on aircraft, install panels, troubleshoot systems, and support maintenance activities in a fast-paced hangar.

The role requires an AMT license and 0–2 years of experience for AMT I, progressing to 4–6+ years for senior levels. Strong communication and adherence to FAA guidelines are essential.

Qualifications

Airframe or Powerplant license required; Airframe license preferred.
0–2 years of aviation maintenance experience for AMT I.
2–4 years of aviation maintenance experience for AMT II.
4–6+ years of aviation maintenance experience for AMT III.
6+ years of aviation maintenance experience for AMT IV (Master).

Responsibilities

Perform general mechanical tasks on aircraft and related systems.
Remove and install panels and components.
Troubleshoot and resolve aircraft system issues.
De-fuel aircraft and perform engine removal/installation.
Operate ground support equipment and inspect aircraft and components.
Maintain and repair shop facilities, equipment, and tooling.
Communicate clearly in English and follow FAA guidelines.
