Job summary

West Star Aviation Inc. is seeking a Lead Aircraft Maintenance Technician in Statesville, NC. The role focuses on guiding a team of technicians to deliver high-quality, timely maintenance, with heavy emphasis on problem-solving and project flow management.

The position requires a strong technical orientation, FAA compliance, and the ability to lead multiple projects while ensuring safety and efficiency in a hangar environment.

Qualifications

• HS diploma or equivalent and FAA Airframe & Powerplant license required.
• Driver's license ideal but not mandatory.
• Aircraft factory training preferred.
• 8+ years in aviation maintenance preferred.
• 4+ years in program specific airframes
• Minimal supervision and lead small teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead the team to complete jobs and manage day-to-day tasks with good judgement.
• Ensure smooth turnover of work to the next shift.
• Identify opportunities to reduce aircraft turn time.
• Mentor and train technicians on projects.
• Supervise team members in daily workload and quality.
