Job summary

West Star Aviation is seeking a Lead Aircraft Maintenance Technician to guide a team of technicians in delivering high-quality results. You will oversee daily tasks, coordinate project flow, and ensure accurate FAA paperwork while maintaining safety and reliability in a busy hangar environment.

The role requires a strong background in aviation maintenance, leadership abilities, and hands-on skills with mechanical systems, panels, and components.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent and FAA Airframe and Powerplant License are required.
• 8+ years in aviation maintenance preferred, 4+ years in program-specific airframes.

Responsibilities

• Lead the team to complete jobs/tasks with good judgement and involve the manager when needed.
• Implement a strong turnover of work to the next shift and manage multiple projects.
• Supervise team members in daily workload and ensure quality and adherence to FAA guidelines.
