West Star Aviation Inc. in East Alton, IL is seeking an Embraer Lead Aircraft Maintenance Technician. This full-time, on-site role requires strong leadership and hands-on aviation maintenance expertise to drive timely, high-quality workmanship.

The position emphasizes supervising technicians, coordinating multiple aircraft projects, and ensuring compliance with FAA guidelines. A high school diploma or equivalent and an A&P license are required, with factory training preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent and Airframe and Powerplant License are required.
• A valid driver’s license for airline travel and/or a valid passport is ideal, but not mandatory.
• Aircraft-specific factory training is preferred.

Responsabilités

• Lead the team to complete jobs and manage day-to-day tasks with prudent supervision.
• Turnover work to the next shift and reduce aircraft turn time where possible.
• Train and mentor technicians on assigned projects.
• Supervise daily workload and ensure schedule adherence.
• Perform mechanical work on aircraft and related systems, including removals, repairs, and sheet metal work.
• Troubleshoot systems and evaluate aircraft performance.
• Maintain FAA paperwork and project documentation.
