Job summary

West Star Aviation in East Alton, IL is hiring an Embraer Aircraft Maintenance Technician for the 2nd shift. You will handle mechanical tasks, panels removal/installations, and troubleshooting on sophisticated civilian aircraft with opportunities for growth within a respected MRO leader.

Airframe or Powerplant license is required; 0-6+ years in aviation maintenance depending on level. Benefits start on Day One and a path toward advancement is offered.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Airframe or Powerplant license is required; Airframe license preferred.
• 0-2 years of experience in aviation maintenance for AMT I; 2-4 years for AMT II; 4-6+ years for AMT III; 6+ years for AMT IV.

Responsibilities

• Performing general mechanical tasks on aircraft and related systems.
• Removal and installation of panels and components.
• Troubleshooting and problem-solving aircraft system/component issues.
• De-fueling aircraft.
• Engine removal/installations.
• Operating ground support equipment.
• Inspection and evaluation of the aircraft and components.
• Aircraft movement and assistance in performance runs/taxiing.
• Maintenance and repair of shop facility, equipment and tooling.
• Basic computer skills to navigate electronic training, manuals, maintenance databases.
• Communicate effectively in English.
