Job summary

West Star Aviation Inc. is seeking a Lead Avionics Repair Technician in East Alton, IL. The role focuses on leading a team of avionics technicians to deliver high-quality, timely results, with strong emphasis on electrical, electronic, and instrument systems.

The position requires 8+ years in avionics, supervision experience, and knowledge of FAA processes. On-site work with opportunities for travel and maternity of flight-related duties. Benefits are provided from day one.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of aircraft maintenance/avionics including supervision of 4+ technicians.
• Advanced knowledge of FAA paperwork, work orders and use of Corridor systems.
• Strong knowledge of aircraft electrical, electronic, and instrument systems.
• Valid driver’s license for airline travel (ideal).

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of technicians to deliver high-quality results and coordinate project flow.
• Supervise daily work load and schedule across multiple projects.
• Process work orders, FAA paperwork, and pricing for customers.
• Direct customer contact and provide project leadership on avionics repair.
• Troubleshoot, inspect and evaluate aircraft systems and components.
