Job summary

West Star Aviation is seeking a Lead Aircraft Maintenance Technician for 2nd shift in Perryville, MO. You will lead a team of technicians to deliver high-quality aircraft maintenance, oversee tasks, and ensure safe, on-time execution in a fast-paced hangar environment.

Requirements include an Airframe and Powerplant license, a HS diploma, and 8+ years in aviation maintenance (4+ years on program-specific airframes). FAA compliance and strong leadership are essential.

Qualifications

• HS diploma and A&P license required.
• 8+ years in aviation maintenance preferred.
• 4+ years in program-specific airframes.
• Must be able to supervise multiple technicians and work under deadlines.
• Must follow FAA guidelines and maintain safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Lead the team to complete jobs/tasks with sound judgement.
• Ensure smooth turnover of work to the next shift.
• Identify opportunities to reduce turn time on aircraft.
• Train/mentor technicians assigned to projects.
• Supervise team members in daily workload and project flow.
• Perform mechanical tasks on aircraft and related systems, including panels and sheet metal.
• Troubleshoot and evaluate systems when designated.
• Coordinate aircraft movement and taxiing as required.
• Support project management and customer interactions.
