Job summary

West Star Aviation is seeking an Engineering Lead to head the engineering department in our hangar environment. The role requires expert knowledge, supervision of the team, and directing project flow while maintaining FAA compliance and accurate work orders.

You will compose repairs using the proper manuals for FAA DER approval, coordinate with Production Control and department leads, and mentor staff. Strong English communication and the ability to work independently on multiple projects are

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent. A valid driver’s license approved for travel and/or a valid passport is ideal, but not mandatory.
• Aircraft specific factory training is preferred.
• 5+ years’ prior experience in aircraft maintenance with supervision of four or more team members.
• Advanced knowledge of FAA paperwork, work orders and use of Corridor systems.

Responsibilities

• Lead the department team and direct project flow while ensuring FAA compliance.
• Compose repairs for components using manuals and references for FAA DER approval.
• Coordinate with Production Control Coordinator and department leads on pricing and customer support.
• Supervise daily operations and ensure completion of work orders and FAA paperwork.
• Maintain strong English communication and mentor junior staff.
