Job summary

American Airlines is seeking an experienced Engineer to lead cabin modification projects from requirements through certification and fleet implementation. You will coordinate across Engineering, Maintenance, Supply Chain, suppliers and MROs to ensure successful disposition of engineering actions.

The role requires strong technical writing, program management, and knowledge of aviation regulations. On-site work at the DFW area supports cabin interiors and aircraft systems integration.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering required.
• 6 years engineering experience in commercial aviation or related field.
• Experience leading cross-functional technical projects.
• Proven ability to lead technical teams without direct authority.
• Strong technical writing and engineering documentation skills.
• Familiarity with aircraft interiors and regulatory requirements.

Responsibilities

• Lead cabin modification projects from requirements through certification and entry into service.
• Serve as the primary technical focal point for assigned cabin projects across multiple departments.
• Develop action plans for fleet and component engineering projects; determine final dispositions.
• Prepare engineering documents for repairs, modifications, inspections or maintenance actions.
• Coordinate with manufacturers, suppliers and regulatory authorities to substantiate dispositions.
• Provide engineering support during modification, installation, testing and service entry.
