Job summary

West Star Aviation in Chattanooga, TN is seeking a Lead Accessories Technician to supervise a team in the overhaul, inspection, and servicing of aircraft wheels, tires, batteries, and related systems. You will troubleshoot hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical systems and lead multiple projects to completion in a fast-paced hangar environment.

The ideal candidate has 3+ years of experience with aircraft accessories and prior supervisory experience, with FAA paperwork and billing duties handled

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• An Airframe and Powerplant license or Repairman Certificate highly preferred.
• 3+ years experience with aircraft wheels, tires, batteries or related accessories.
• Experience supervising four or more team members.
• FAA paperwork, work orders, and billing process experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise a team of technicians, coordinate daily operations, and manage multiple projects.
• Oversee inspection, overhaul, maintenance, repair, and servicing of aircraft wheels, tires, and batteries.
• Troubleshoot hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical systems and components.
• Provide active mentorship, guidance, and technical training to team members.
• Direct completion of FAA paperwork, work orders, and billing items with high accuracy.
• Ensure adherence to schedule and quality in shop operations.
