Job summary

West Star Aviation in Chattanooga, TN is seeking a Lead Accessories Technician to lead a team in the overhaul, inspection and servicing of aircraft wheels, tires and batteries, plus related systems per FAA data. You will troubleshoot hydraulic, pneumatic and electrical systems, mentor technicians, ensure safety and quality, manage workflow, and complete FAA paperwork and work orders with accuracy.

Requirements include 3+ years with wheels/tires/batteries, supervisory experience, and a preference

Qualifications

• HS diploma required; A&P license preferred.
• 3+ years with aircraft wheels, tires, batteries, or related accessories.
• Experience supervising four or more technicians.
• FAA paperwork, work orders and billing experience.
• Customer contact experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise a team of technicians and coordinate daily operations.
• Oversee inspection, overhaul, maintenance, repair and servicing of wheels, tires and batteries per FAA data.
• Troubleshoot hydraulic, pneumatic and electrical systems and components.
• Provide mentorship and technical training to team members.
• Ensure accurate FAA paperwork, work orders and billing.
• Drive shop efficiency, quality and on-time project completion.
