Job summary

West Star Aviation in Chattanooga, TN is seeking an experienced Team Lead for Avionics Repair to supervise a skilled crew, direct project flow, and ensure top-quality avionics work on airframes and systems. This full-time on-site role combines hands-on leadership with coordination of daily activities across multiple projects.

You will oversee scheduling, parts and resources, handle FAA forms, log books, and customer communications, while enforcing safety and regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Repairman, FCC, or similar certificates highly preferred.
• Aircraft-specific factory training preferred.
• A valid driver’s license approved for airline travel and/or a valid passport is ideal, but not mandatory.

Responsibilities

• Supervise avionics technicians and guide project flow.
• Oversee manpower, parts and resource needs for each project.
• Ensure strict adherence to FAA forms, log books and work orders.
• Coordinate and lead multiple projects with direct customer contact.
• Maintain safety and quality through audits and training.
• Direct the work and flow of multiple projects in a hangar environment.
