Job summary

T. Rowe Price in Baltimore, MD is seeking a senior engineer to lead the design, development, and deployment of production-grade agentic AI systems embedded in the investment lifecycle.

You will collaborate with Investments, Investments Technology, and TRP Labs to architect autonomous AI agents handling research, analysis, portfolio and trading functions. The role includes defining technical standards, governance, and scalable practices to responsibly boost capabilities across a global asset

Qualifications

• BS or MS in Computer Science or related field with 8+ years of experience and leadership of engineering teams.
• Experience architecting cloud-native solutions using AWS or Azure, containerized microservices, and agent frameworks.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with ability to guide teams through complex challenges.
• Effective communication with business stakeholders and technical teams; commitment to testing and CI/CD.

Responsibilities

• Lead design, development, and deployment of AI systems with technical mentorship to squads.
• Collaborate in cross-functional squads to scale responsible AI across the enterprise.
• Partner with stakeholders to develop agent-driven workflows that automate complex processes.
• Establish best practices in AI development, CI, and code quality.
• Oversee projects on agent orchestration, prompt engineering, and real-time automation.
• Prioritize technical debt and drive ongoing AI platform improvements.
• Identify opportunities to apply AI agents for greater business value and efficiency.
