T. Rowe Price in Baltimore/DC area seeks a lead engineer to design, develop, and deploy production‑grade AI agents embedded in the investment lifecycle. You will work across Investments, Investments Technology, and TRP Labs to architect autonomous AI agents handling investment research, portfolio management, and trading workflows.

The role requires cloud expertise, strong leadership, and a passion for responsible AI in a global asset manager. Hybrid work is offered with up to three days at home.

Qualifications

• BS or MS in Computer Science or related field with 8+ years of progressive software leadership.
• Experience in OO languages (Java, Python, JavaScript) and leading engineering teams.
• Cloud-native delivery on AWS or Azure, microservices, and agent frameworks.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and stakeholder communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead design, development, and deployment of AI systems across squads.
• Mentor engineers; ensure scalable, responsible AI solutions.
• Collaborate with business stakeholders to automate processes and insights.
• Drive best practices in testing, code reviews, and CI/CD.
