Job summary

EY seeks an experienced Lead AI Software Architect to guide a team of domain experts in designing AI Agent Control systems. You will shape architectures for agent identity, authentication, post-training environments, and sovereign model evaluation, while driving practical outcomes across AI, security and data teams.

This role emphasizes hands-on development of advanced AI capabilities, leadership of a cross-functional team, and collaboration on strategic tech initiatives within EY's hybrid work

Qualifications

• Advanced degree required in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science or Mathematics.
• 10+ years of software engineering and AI experience.
• Experience with multi-agent system administration and modern secrets management.
• Familiarity with AI native software development tools (Cursor, Claude Code, Qodo/Codium, Gemini, AWS Q, GitHub).
• Proficiency in scripting languages (Python, Bash, TypeScript) and languages (Go, Rust, Java).
• Knowledge of AI Native design principles and cryptographic identity/auth methods.
• Experience with CI/CD, modern code hosting and collaboration tools (GitHub/GitLab/Azure DevOps).
• Experience with Nvidia NVAIE, AWS and MSFT Azure AI stacks.

Responsibilities

• Design control harness intelligence systems for multiagent environments.
• Architect agent identity and authentication for large-scale systems.
• Design post-training and tuning environments for AI agents.
• Develop synthesis models for AI open-source models.
• Implement and test architectures with performance benchmarking.
• Create comprehensive AI Agent control frameworks.
• Lead AI-native design processes across teams.
• Research emerging agent authorization architectures and frontier model proposals.
• Collaborate with AI, Security, Data and Infra teams to balance outcomes.
• Support strategic business development for emerging tech.
• Present at academic conferences and contribute to IP filings.
• Hands-on development of advanced AI capabilities in agentic control.
• Lead a team of experts to build universal agentic control harnesses.
