Job summary

Dialpad, Inc. is seeking a core technical leader to shape the vision, architecture, and execution of its next-generation AI platform.

You will build production-grade systems where AI agents reason, act, coordinate, and safely execute workflows within enterprise environments. You will drive an advanced multi-agent orchestration framework with real-time conversational reasoning, tool execution, and strong safety guardrails, reporting to the Senior Director of Engineering.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of software engineering with proven technical leadership shipping complex, large-scale systems.
• Strong foundations in scaling distributed systems and production-grade infrastructure.
• Experience leading small engineering teams and setting technical goals.
• Hands-on with LangChain/LangGraph, CrewAI, or cloud agent ecosystems.
• Experience with evaluation, observability, and safety for production AI.
• Familiarity with real-time streaming and voice/conversational AI.
• Ability to architect AI-native SDLC and multi-agent orchestration.
• Experience driving architectural risk management and debt reduction.
• Thrives in ambiguous, ground-up AI product development.

Responsibilities

• Own the architectural roadmap and delivery of the Agentic infrastructure and orchestration layers.
• Design scalable multi-modal AI agents with autonomous capabilities across enterprise workflows.
• Mentor senior engineers and set technical standards for an AI-native SDLC.
• Partner with Product,Applied Research, Design and leadership to align strategy with business goals.
• Research and implement advanced agent frameworks, retrieval systems, and safety guardrails.
