Job summary

Pearson is seeking a strategic and hands-on Lead Specialist- AI Scientist to design, build, deploy, and scale production AI/ML capabilities that power learner intelligence, knowledge graphs, and personalized learning experiences.

You will lead the end-to-end AI delivery lifecycle, collaborate with Product, Engineering, and Data Science, and build scalable platform components to accelerate adoption across Pearson products.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience building and deploying production AI/ML systems.
• Proficiency in Python and modern software engineering practices (APIs, testing, CI/CD).
• Experience with AWS or similar cloud environments and MLOps.

Responsibilities

• Lead design, development, deployment, and operation of production AI capabilities.
• Design and deliver Generative AI, LLM, RAG, and agentic AI solutions with measurable impact.
• Mentor engineers and data scientists and elevate AI engineering capabilities across the org.
