Job summary

Motorola Solutions is seeking a Sr Software Engineer to set the technical direction for the AI Agent Platform behind Hyper's emergency response products. You will lead architecture, mentor engineers, and tackle cross-cutting challenges from real-time AI pipelines to backend infrastructure.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience in realtime communication systems with production-grade AI.
• Experience designing and operating large, complex systems in high-stakes domains.
• Ability to translate ambiguous problems into technical plans and roadmaps.
• Strong leadership and mentoring skills, with a focus on quality and reliability.

Responsibilities

• Lead design and operation of real-time voice AI systems for 911 telecommunicators.
• Address low-latency audio, streaming, telephony, and AI orchestration challenges.
• Set engineering standards for reliability, availability, security, and performance.
• Collaborate with product, design and operations to translate problems into strategy.
• Mentor engineers and raise the team's technical capabilities.
• Develop evaluation, testing, and observability frameworks for AI systems.
• Own runbooks, incident response, and post-incident reviews.
• Represent engineering in discussions with public safety customers and partners.
