Job summary

Allstate seeks a forward‑thinking Lead Product Engineer to drive innovation in its AI-powered Observability platform. You will lead design and development of next‑gen observability solutions, embedding AI/ML into platforms for proactive detection, diagnosis, and remediation across hybrid and multi‑cloud environments.

You will shape product strategy, deliver AI-driven monitoring and automation, and build scalable, reusable components and APIs to enhance reliability and performance enterprise‑wide.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in software engineering with observability or distributed systems
• 4+ years using observability platforms (Datadog, Dynatrace, OTEL)
• 3+ years in software development with Java Spring Boot, Python, Node.js or React
• 2+ years building agentic AI systems or AI-driven automation
• Experience integrating AI/ML into production observability
• Strong Kubernetes and cloud-native architecture experience
• Hybrid/on-prem plus cloud environments
• API development and microservices familiarity

Responsibilities

• Design and build agentic AI solutions for observability and automation
• Embed AI capabilities into observability platforms for predictive insights
• Develop AIOps frameworks to reduce noise and accelerate incident response
• Lead end-to-end observability projects across logs, metrics, traces, and events
• Enhance platforms with integrations and AI-powered enhancements
• Build developer-friendly tooling for instrumentation and diagnostics
• Drive automation-first strategies and self-healing systems
• Collaborate with architecture, security, and platform teams
