Job summary

4A Consulting, LLC is seeking a Senior AI/ML Platform Engineer to design, implement, and operate a shared enterprise AI/ML platform across state agencies. You will lead CI/CD pipelines, accelerate model delivery, and improve observability and reliability.

You will own core platform components end-to-end, mentor engineers, and drive cost optimization while ensuring security, scalability, and maintainability.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a technical field; Master’s preferred.
• 10+ years in platform engineering, MLOps, or data/software engineering.
• Strong Python development for production-grade software.
• Experience designing and improving ML CI/CD pipelines and deployment processes.
• Experience with AWS/Azure/GCP and cloud cost optimization.
• Advanced Kubernetes experience including autoscaling and resource quotas.
• Hands-on observability tooling (Prometheus, Grafana, Datadog, OpenTelemetry).
• Terraform/Ansible for infrastructure automation and configuration management.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and operate an enterprise ML CI/CD platform.
• Establish observability and SLOs for platform services and models.
• Optimize cloud cost, autoscaling, and resource utilization.
• Develop internal SDKs, tooling, templates, and deployment workflows.
• Provide technical leadership and mentorship across the engineering org.
