Job summary

Maximus is seeking a Lead AI Engineer to join the AI Transformation and Experience team, building and refining AI capabilities, algorithms, and production systems across enterprise and government programs. This is a hands-on, individual contributor role focused on design, testing, deployment, and continuous improvement.

The role requires strong Python and cloud experience, leadership in deploying production algorithms on AWS/Azure/GCP, and the ability to mentor others while delivering scalable

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field and 10+ years of professional experience.
• 7+ years building and supporting production algorithms on real data.
• 5+ years designing or building cloud-based solutions.
• 3+ years with artificial intelligence, machine learning, or related technologies.
• Ability to communicate technical decisions clearly with technical and non-technical colleagues.

Responsibilities

• Lead AI, ML, and data science solutions across the enterprise.
• Design, build, deploy, and improve production AI solutions.
• Mentor staff and promote best practices.
