Job summary
Maximus seeks a Lead AI Engineer to join the AI Transformation and Experience team, building production AI capabilities for enterprise and government programs. This is a remote role focused on designing, testing, deploying, and refining algorithms to deliver real mission outcomes.
You will lead production AI solutions, own complex problems from exploration to deployment, and contribute to software with cloud integrations across AWS/Azure/GCP.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field of study and 10+ years of experience.
- 7+ years of advanced algorithm building and data science experience.
- 7+ years of professional data science or advanced algorithm building experience.
- 5+ years designing or building cloud solutions.
- 3+ years of AI/ML experience.
- Experience deploying production algorithms outside notebooks.
- Experience building/integrating AI/ML into software systems.
- US Citizenship and able to obtain a Public Trust.
Responsibilities
- Lead, develop, and advance AI/ML solutions across the enterprise.
- Own difficult technical problems from exploration to production.
- Write high‑quality software contributing to enterprise capabilities.
- Build AI-enabled applications integrating models, data, cloud services, and APIs.
- Mentor staff through algorithm development and solution enhancements.
- Evaluate emerging AI technologies for production value.
