Job summary

Maximus is seeking a Lead AI Engineer in Data Science and Algorithms. This remote, hands-on role focuses on designing, building, testing, deploying, and improving production AI solutions across the enterprise and government programs.

You will mentor staff and collaborate with engineers to advance AI capabilities across Maximus. The position emphasizes producing scalable, robust algorithms, evaluating new AI technologies, and translating complex technical needs for diverse stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field of study; 10+ years of relevant professional experience preferred.
• 7+ years of professional data science or advanced algorithm building experience.
• 5+ years of cloud design or building solutions.
• 3+ years of AI/ML or related technologies.

Responsibilities

• Lead, develop, and advance AI/ML/data science solutions across the enterprise.
• Own difficult technical problems from exploration to deployment and continuous improvement.
• Write high-quality production-ready software for enterprise capabilities.
• Build AI-enabled applications integrating models, data, cloud services, APIs and existing systems.
• Mentor staff through design reviews and problem solving.
