Job summary

AItoolnavio in the United States seeks a Lead AI Engineer to drive design, development, and deployment of advanced generative AI and agentic systems for government operations.

You will define technical architecture, lead initiatives, and mentor teams in a highly regulated security environment while working with cutting-edge LLMs, RAG, and multi-agent orchestration to deliver mission-critical value.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field with 15+ years professional experience.
• Experience leading engineering teams or as technical lead on complex software projects.
• Hands-on experience designing and deploying generative AI or agentic AI systems in production.
• Strong understanding of multi-agent orchestration, RAG, prompt engineering, and LLM API integration.
• Proficiency in front-end and back-end development.
• Experience with Python, .NET/C#, Angular, TypeScript, Docker, AWS, SQL Server, pipelines, and Git CI/CD.
• Familiarity with React, Java, PostgreSQL, and Azure.
• Experience delivering secure software in regulated environments (ATO, FedRAMP).
• Strong analytical and communication skills for stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Define and lead architecture for generative AI solutions, including multi-agent workflows and LLM integrations.
• Establish standards and best practices for reliable, scalable AI systems.
• Design and deploy multi-agent orchestration and MCP servers to connect AI agents securely.
• Build applications with LLM endpoints from Anthropic, OpenAI, and others.
• Apply prompt engineering and data-routing techniques to improve quality and reliability.
• Engage with government stakeholders to gather requirements and demonstrate value.
• Lead full-stack development across front-end, back-end, API, and data layers.
• Create cloud-based data environments and pipelines for AI workflows.
• Develop AI evaluation and testing frameworks for regression and transparency.
• Conduct adversarial testing to identify prompt injections before production.
• Ensure compliance with security requirements (ATO, FedRAMP).
• Mentor teams adopting AI-first development and new technologies.
• Promote collaboration through workshops and hackathons.
• Incorporate field feedback into product roadmaps and release planning.
