Job summary

Allianz Technology seeks an experienced AI/ML application engineer to lead end-to-end delivery of cloud-based GenAI solutions on Azure/AWS. You will translate business goals into technical roadmaps, drive scalable data pipelines, and enforce governance and guardrails.

The role requires strong Python/SQL skills and hands-on experience with Databricks Lakehouse. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, mentor engineers, and contribute to a culture of reliable, scalable AI delivery across

Qualifications

• 3+ years of hands-on AI/ML application engineering or technical consulting with a track record of shipping production solutions.
• Advanced Python and strong SQL; experience building LLM applications (RAG and agentic workflows).
• Cloud proficiency with Azure or AWS AI services; containers and Kubernetes; Terraform; CI/CD via GitHub Actions.
• MLOps/LLMOps practices: experiment tracking, evaluation, monitoring, and incident response.
• Experience with modern data platforms (Databricks Lakehouse, Delta tables) and data governance/quality tooling is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end delivery and own solution architecture for cloud-based AI on Azure/AWS using Python and SQL.
• Translate business goals into technical roadmaps, designs, and success metrics; define scope, milestones, and acceptance criteria.
• Build, harden, and scale services with CI/CD, containerization, and IaC; manage data pipelines with Databricks Lakehouse architecture.
• Establish responsible AI guardrails and ensure governance with security standards.
• Instrument telemetry and analytics; optimize performance, reliability, and cost; track benefits against KPIs.
